TV Baker Jo Wheatley

Here at Whitchurch Food and Drink Festival we are very excited to announce that our special guest star for 2017 is Jo Wheatley. Jo is a food writer and TV baker who rose to fame as the winner of the second series of BBC’s The Great British Bake Off.

Since winning, Jo has set up a cookery school from her home in Essex which was listed in The Guardian’s Top Five UK Baking Schools. Jo was voted 2nd in a poll of Radio Times readers’ favourite ever Great British Bake Off contestants.

We cannot wait for Jo Wheatley to join us on Sunday 21st May in Whitchurch when she will complete two cookery demonstrations live on stage and judge the festival’s Celebration Cake Competition. Jo was a recipe columnist for Sainsbury’s magazine January 2013 - June 2014 and is a frequent contributor to various publications including The Sun, The Mirror, BBC Good Food Magazine, and Hello magazine.
